A little about me

I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN and have been here since August 2016 Originally, I lived (and grew up) in New Hampshire. I went to school in New Hampshire for my CCNA in Network Security. Though I've barely ever used that education in my career.

My avatar / Icon that I use across all my platforms is by FrankieAncelotti. I am a strong advocate for establishing a recognizable brand. Therefore, you'll see me using the same icon for all my accounts as long as possible.

Professionally, I am a software engineer, specializing in frontend. My professional site & portfolio is available upon request.

Furry Involvement

Introduction to Furry

I learned about Furry in High School (2007) and got more invested and serious into the fandom gradually. My first convention being Anime Boston, only because it was the closest thing to me at the time. I got my first Fursuit in 2009.

RRVFurs

When I moved to North Dakota, the first thing I started to look for was friends in the local area. I had blindly moved to the area and didn't have much friends aside from maybe 2 people I had known from the internet. In the process of looking for friends, I came across RRVF (Red River Valley Furs). They were an established group with little to no orgnization or events planned. One thing led to another and I eventually become involved with planning events, managing the FA page and twitter account.

MNFurs

I love to volunteer whenever possible. Most conventions I attend I will do my best to find a time to volunteer some time just to contribute. Our state has a local nonprofit furry group called MNFurs. I ran for the board in 2020 and got enough votes to become a officer of the board, and shortly after was appointed President of the org. One of my larger accomplishments I am proud of is bringing MNFurs current in social platforms by introducing and establishing a Discord server for the group. In 2024, To seek a short break, I didn't run for a third term, resulting in my 4 years on the board coming to a close.

Professional Side

2009, I interned at a TV Station in Concord, NH. 2013 thru 2016; I worked as a Senior Staff Producer. Post editing in Adobe Premiere, Field camera work with Canon Prosumer XA-25 cameras and a lot of Live Production Video Mixing using a Tricaster system in a studio environment.

Previously I worked 6 years at a software company in Minneapolis, MN as a Frontend Software engineer using primarily JS (EmberJS) and PHP (Laravel). In my free time I continue to shoot video and mix live video using a self built Vmix production machine.

Video equipment I primarily own and shoot with is a Sony NX5U and a Panasonic AGAF-100 with an assortment of micro 4/3 lenses.

In 2021 I made a career path change to turn Software Development from a Hobby into a career.
